|Del Norte||Only the Del Norte County Behavioral Health Branch’s designated 5150 staff can rescind a 5150 hold upon evaluation.||72 hour clock STARTS once ADMITTED to the psychiatric facility (WIC 5151).||Can exceed 3 days and up to 15 days on occasion. Behavioral Health staff reassess for 5150 criteria every 8 to 12 hours.||From 7 to 8 hours.|
|Humboldt||A 5150 hold may be discontinued prior to the end of the 72 hours following assessment by:
FEB 01, 2020 , 72 hour clock STARTS once ADMITTED to the psychiatric facility (WIC 5151).

|Lake||Besides Behavioral Health designated staff, the Behavioral Health Director has also granted authority to, doctors at the hospitals to rescind a 5150 hold if medically appropriate to do so. Most common occurrence for this would be an individual is brought to the Emergency Room by law enforcement who voiced suicidal ideation while intoxicated. Once sober, the individual denies any thoughts of suicide, so the doctor can rescind law enforcements 5150 hold without evaluation by Behavioral Health staff.||72 hour clock STARTS once ADMITTED to the psychiatric facility (WIC 5151).||Can exceed 70 hours.
Behavioral Health staff re-evaluate through-out an extended wait, as individuals sometimes improve with the medications administered in the Emergency Departments.
