| Del Norte | All law enforcement officers have the legal authority to write a 5150 hold pursuant to WIC 5150.
In addition, the county allows for the Del Norte County Department of Health and Human Services, Behavioral Health Branch Director to designate qualified individuals who have successfully completed the department’s 5150 training program provided by the crisis supervisor. Once this training is complete and upon recommendation from the crisis supervisor, the staff is designated by the Behavioral Health Director to conduct 5150 evaluations in Del Norte County. Evaluation Requests: Del Norte Health & Human Services: Behavioral Health Branch responds to requests for 5150 evaluations at Sutter Coast Hospital, once the individual has been medically cleared. The Behavioral Health Branch mobile crisis team response time is within 30 minutes. |
