If there is a disagreement between the ED physician and the LCBH crisis worker regarding recommendation for release or hospitalization and an agreement cannot be reached, the physician will contact the on-call LCBH crisis supervisor to resolve the disagreement. If no resolution can be reached the physician can request a reassessment from the next oncoming LCBH crisis worker. Lake County Behavioral Health sometimes have to conduct re-evaluations due to the wait time in finding placements, and the mental health status has changed so an updated evaluation is required to determine if an individual still meets 5150 criteria. |
